The sardines are top notch, sourced from Matosinhos fish market first thing and canned the same day. Now over a century old, the cannery still keeps every step of its artisanal process in house, which means rigorous quality control. Checks at a variety of points in the 37-step process mean each tin meets Nuri’s high standards. Roast some baby tomatoes with puréed garlic and olive oil in a 150 degree oven for 15 minutes and add to cooked pasta along with the Nuri spicy sardines.
